Shan brought a bouquet of flowers home a few days ago, and I didn’t have the heart to open up the packaging- the florist arranged them so nicely! I finally got the scissors out today, and cut them up. We don’t have a vase to put them in, so I filled up every empty bottle in the house! Our home is filled with a sweet rose scent, and I love it.
My dad is here on business for a week! One thing you need to know about my dad is, he loves to eat dessert after dinner. We’ve been having dinner with him almost every night, and we always get coffee & cake after dinner. Not only do I get to spend my birthday with my dad, we’ve had birthday cake (unintentionally) almost every night this week! I love my dad.
Today our friends took us to an overseas imported goods warehouse. It was literally a warehouse, and it was really shady. I would not recommend going alone. However, inside contained all sorts of wonderful goodies, such as: Frank’s Hot Sauce (sold by the gallon), one frozen whole turkey (singular), unlabeled plastic bags filled with shredded mozzarella cheese, and most importantly… LENTILS! I’ve been searching for lentils everywhere!
This photoset I got printed from Artifact Uprising. I absolutely love it- they nailed the colors, it looks just like on my laptop screen! These photos have travelled quite a journey- the package was delivered to my dad, who then flew to two countries before bringing them to me, halfway around the world!
Lastly, I’m thankful for my twenties thus far. My 20th birthday was spent in CA, my 21st & 22nd in Turkey, my 23rd in Colorado, and now my 24th here. Every birthday has been in such different times and life seasons, surrounded with different people, in different places. I’ve loved it all. I’ve loved them all! And I can’t wait to see where the rest of my twenties will be.
