Last night we went to the market to get some groceries, and the produce shelves were literally empty. The vegetables were all sold out, in both markets near our home! There was nothing left, except a few rotten potatoes and pieces of crumbled cauliflower. We were shocked. Lesson learned, everyone and their mother stocks up on groceries before a typhoon.
Did you know that a typhoon, hurricane, and cyclone are all the same things? We certainly did not- both raised in California, spoiled by perfect weather year round… We didn’t even know what a typhoon was, much less what to expect! It was certainly an adventure.
Shan went to the market this morning, hoping they restocked their items. We were in luck! He came home with food (thank God, we won’t starve) and flowers for me! He’s the best. We’ve stayed indoors all day as it stormed outside, drinking coffee, catching up on work, watching movies… and our apartment is filled with a subtle sweet rose fragrance through it all. Staying home during rainy days is one of our favorite things. Typhoons aren’t too bad after all 😉 What do you enjoy doing on rainy days?
